Here Hand A is the same as the same Seven low as in the previous example: 7-6-5-3-A. However, this time it is beaten by Hand B, who has 7-6-4-3-2. Remember that low hands are assessed from the highest card down. Although both hands have the 7-6 combination, Hand B has the next lowest card, a Four, whereas Hand A has a Five. The Ace in Hand A only becomes significant to the equation when all four of the other cards are common to both hands. |
