The 53rd World Series of Poker (WSOP) returns to its regular summer schedule in Las Vegas this year, but it won’t be in the same location. The WSOP has called the Rio All-Suite & Hotel its home since 2005, however, this summer, the WSOP hits the Las Vegas Strip as Bally’s and Paris become the new venue.
Best Bang for WSOP on a Budget
The series runs from May 31 to July 20, 2022. There is a spot in the schedule at the end of June that will give players a choice of four different WSOP bracelet events. Beginning on Friday, June 24, Event #51: COLOSSUS carries a $400 buyin with multiple starting flights and massive fields. On Sunday, June 26, Event #54: Salute to Warriors gets underway. This event costs $500 to enter with proceeds going to veteran organizations. Also on Sunday is the Tag Team (Event #55) which two teammates will split a $1k buyin. The next day, Event #57: $600 Deepstack Championship kicks off. Along with the bracelet events, the WSOP also offers Daily Deepstacks, cash games, sit’n’gos, and satellites into a lot of events. If traveling is not a possibility, there are options online for players in some states to enjoy the felt from the comfort of their own home. There have been a number of exceptional online casinos that have arrived. Some of the largest casino operators in the world have acquired a license to operate within the region. New Home on the Strip
With the WSOP moving to the Las Vegas Strip, a whole new world of food and accommodation options become available. Each surrounding resort has a wide variety of restaurants and fast-food dining areas. There will also be no shortage of bathrooms outside of the host venues. Everything within walking distance will cut down on transport costs and the volume of hotels will give many different pricing options
