WPT Champion David Dongwoo Ko Joins KKPoker as Newest Ambassador

KKPoker, the premier mobile poker app dedicated to creating rewarding, fun, and safe poker experiences, is thrilled to announce the signing of David Dongwoo Ko as its newest ambassador. Ko, a breakout star in the poker world in 2024, recently gained fame with his victory at the WPT Main Event in Montreal.

Ko’s remarkable year includes outlasting a field of 882 players in Montreal to secure a $320,000 prize at just 23 years old, and he is also a WSOP ring winner.  

As a KKPoker community member for over a year, Ko’s new role will be championing KKPoker’s mission to grow both online and live poker.

Ko’s journey from recreational player to professional began just two years ago. At 21, during a visit to Las Vegas, he was captivated by the fun of poker. After returning to Vancouver, he honed his skills using free online resources and quickly became a successful player. He eventually transitioned from cash to tournaments and earned significant wins, including a £400 WSOP Colossus event in Nottingham for £40,000 and his very first WSOP ring. 

From South Korea to Canada: A Rising Star On the Road to Further Glory

Ko, originally from South Korea and now residing in Vancouver, has made significant strides in poker. His recent achievements include two additional WSOP rings in Calgary, setting the stage for his WPT victory in Montreal. Despite a power outage during the final table, Ko maintained his focus and secured the championship.

Ko’s ambitions don’t stop at his recent successes. He is now in Las Vegas for the 2024 World Series of Poker, making a notable run in the Mystery Bounty tournament and eyeing further achievements. His next goal is to win a WSOP bracelet and aim for the prestigious Triple Crown in poker.
