Smart Poker Tour Makes Another First With SPT 7 Sofia
A busy month of May gets underway soon for the Smart Poker Tour (SPT). For the first time in its early age, SPT will have two festivals starting in the same month. SPT 6 Plovdiv gets underway on May 3rd at Platinum Casino Plovdiv while SPT 7 Sofia caps off the month at Monte Casino, Sofia. SPT 7 Sofia runs from May 30th to June 5th. The festival is headlined by a лв300,000 Guaranteed Main Event.
The Smart Poker Tour is returning to Monte Casino in Sofia for the second time after a successful stop in December of 2022. The лв300,000 guarantee was easily surpassed after 370 entries took part. Dimitrios Lappas from Greece was the winner, taking home лв67,000.
лв300,000 Guaranteed SPT 7 Sofia Main Event
The Main Event begins on May 31st with the first of four Day 1 starting flights. Day 1 buyins cost лв1,000 and unlimited re-entry is available for the first 14 levels of the day. Players will start with 60,000 chips and play 30-minute levels. Players looking to get into the Main Event for less will want to check out the Main Event satellites running on May 30th and 31st. 10 seats are guaranteed for just лв150.
There is a direct buy-in to Day 2 option. For the first three levels of Day 2, players may enter for лв3,200 and receive a stack of 200,000 chips.
SPT 7 Sofia Side Events & More
Another first for the Smart Poker Tour is the length of SPT 7. The festival will span seven days making it the longest SPT stop yet. The festival kicks off with a Main Event satellite on May 30th followed by Day 1 of a лв450 Mystery Bounty event. There is also a “Chuku-Ruku” Ante Up Omaha event, лв2,150 High Roller featuring a лв50,000 guarantee and a Progressive KO event to close things up.

This is a new initiative with around 20 starting days throughout Europe and a final at the International Hotel Casino & Tower Suites in Golden Sands from the 20-26th of June 2023. The field plays down to 10%, bags for the final, and players receive €650. Every player can enter another starting day.
