Satellite Your Way Into The Largest Irish Open Ever
If you haven’t heard by now, the 2025 Irish Open will be an event for the ages. Already the most prestigious festival in Europe and longest-running poker tournament outside of Las Vegas, this year’s Irish Open has more days, more events, and a lot more money guaranteed. The Irish Open team and their partners want to send you there for a fraction of the cost.
Over 700 players won live and online satellites to the Irish Open in 2024. As the 2025 Irish Open approaches, there are even more opportunities for players to win seats and packages worldwide. Event sponsors PokerStars and Paddy Power Poker lead the charge along with the whole iPoker Network. Live poker rooms like Canada’s Playground and Dusk Till Dawn also offer the chance to win seats and packages to the 2025 Irish Open.
The Royal Dublin Society (RDS) will host the revamped and boosted 2025 Irish Open from April 10 to 21. The extra four days have allowed the organizers to jam more events and increase the guarantees in all of the major events. Headlining events like the Irish Open Main Event and Mini Irish Open have doubled their guarantees with new events like the €1,000,000 GTD Mystery Bounty and a handful of High Rollers added to the schedule.
Online Satellites on PokerStars
PokerStars gives players limitless opportunities to secure seats at this iconic festival for as little as €1.10. The satellite series kicked off in December and will continue until the Irish Open kicks off in April.
Weekly, €109 satellites guarantee up to 20 weekly seats, while feeder satellites start at just €1.10. As a bonus, PokerStars’ “free buy” satellites offer a free first entry with optional micro-stakes rebuys (€0.11) and add-ons, letting you spin up a bankroll for pennies.
Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday features “4 x €1,150 seat only” satellites, while Sundays guarantee eight all-inclusive “seat and expenses” packages valued at €1,500 each. Don’t miss the mega satellites in March, offering 16 seats on back-to-back Sundays.
Players can win multiple Main Event tickets, with the first ticket being a must-play by the winner. Extra tickets can be claimed as ‘players’ choice’ tickets for re-entries or upgrades to a larger buy-in event on the schedule.
Additionally, the Irish Open Power Path silver passes returns. The Silver Passes allow players to win packages for $2,500, which includes entry to the main, a side event and a credit to players’ accounts.
Paddy Power and the iPoker Network
iPoker has unveiled many online satellites to help players secure their seats. Feeder satellites, including daily freebuy tournaments, have been in full swing since Monday, January 6, across nearly 22 iPoker network sites. Players can climb the satellite ladder or buy in directly to the seat-only and prize package qualifiers.
Seat-only qualifiers are running on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays — with entry fees of €50 or €100. Eighty-five seats are guaranteed during the satellite period, which will continue until April 6. Additionally, every Sunday features a €150 Day 2 qualifier with a €2,250 prize package up for grabs. The package includes the €1,150 Main Event buy-in and €1,100 for spending money. In total, 66 prize packages are guaranteed, with Day 1 qualifiers running every day leading up to the Sunday Day 2 event.
These satellites are available across the iPoker network, which includes top sites like PaddyPowerPoker, Grosvenor Poker, Bet365, Betfair, Betfred, Betsson, Betsafe, Gut, Nordicbet, Boyle Sports, Champion Poker, Coolbet, Holland Casino, Meridianbet, NetBet, Novibet, Paf, Redstar, and Svenska Spel.
Live Satellites Running Across the Globe
With the success of the live satellite schedules held in Europe and Canada leading up to last year’s Irish Open, several live poker rooms will be offering players the opportunity once again.
Canada’s Playground Poker Club, sitting just outside of Montreal, Ireland’s JPPoker in Dublin, and Dusk Till Dawn in Nottingham, England, are the first live poker rooms to commit to hosting Irish Open satellites. Satellites are running now, and more details can be found here.
