Orange City Racing & Card Club opens major expansion to become 58-table poker room

Addition of 18 poker tables will accommodate increasing number of players and high-stakes tournaments at closest poker room to Orlando

ORANGE CITY, Fla. (Sept. 11th, 2024) –Orange City Racing & Card Club today announced the completion and opening of an extensive expansion to accommodate an increasing number of players and host more high-stakes tournaments at the closest poker room to Orlando.

The venue, which originally opened in 2017 in five of eight theaters in a former movie complex, now has 58 poker tables after expanding into two more theaters and adding 18 new tables in the renovated space. Orange City Racing & Card Club hosts a variety of popular poker games such as Texas Hold’em (Limit and No Limit), Omaha Hi/Lo and Ultimate Texas Hold’em.

“We’re excited to open the doors to our newly expanded poker room, which is set to deliver unmatched gaming experiences for both poker pros and new players alike,” said Fred Guzman, president and general manager of Daytona Beach Racing & Card Club and Orange City Racing & Card Club.

Located on Saxon Boulevard in Orange City, Orange City Racing & Card Club is not far from Interstate 4 and about a 35-minute drive from downtown Orlando.

“With more tables, we’re minimizing wait times even during peak hours, making it easier than ever for players to jump into the action, especially on busy weekends and holidays. We’ve seen increasing demand from the always-growing greater Orlando market,” Guzman said.

This expansion not only increases the room’s capacity to 58 tables from 40, but it also allows Orange City Racing & Card Club to host large-scale poker tournaments while still having plenty of tables for cash games. The venue will also add livestreaming capabilities like what its sister property in Daytona Beach launched in 2023.

“This is a monumental moment for our poker room,” said Richard Manning, poker room manager at Orange City Racing & Card Club. “With the expanded space, we’re poised to host more poker tournaments, bringing in the best action you’ll find anywhere in the Orlando area. We will also be livestreaming action from featured cash games and tournament final tables.”

The expanded poker room’s first major event will be the $300,000 Guaranteed Great American Poker Tournaments Fall Deep Stack Series, running from Sept. 26 through Oct. 6. More information on the tournament can be found here: https://www.orangecitypoker.com/promos-events/fall-deep-stack-series.
