Four Weeks Out From The 45th Irish Open
Europe’s oldest poker tournament is celebrating its 45th birthday in 2025. The Global Poker Award-winning festival is set to be the largest, longest, and richest Irish Open ever, with €4.5 million in prize pool guarantees. The 2025 Irish Open features four extra days packed with monster guarantees, more high rollers, and everyone’s favorite mixed games.
The 2025 Irish Open runs from April 10 to 21 at the Royal Dublin Society (RDS). Fresh off the 2024 record-setting Irish Open Main Event, JP, Paul, and the team at Irish Open packed in more events, boosted several side events, and doubled the guarantees of featured events. New events like the €1,000,000 GTD Mystery Bounty, the Irish Open Deaf Championship, and a handful of High Rollers have been added to the schedule.
With success in 2024, the guarantee for the €1,150 Main Event is now at €2,500,000, and the hugely popular €250 Mini Irish Open boasts an upgraded €1,000,000 guarantee. The Hendon Mob Championship is back as a featured side event with new and returning mixed games like Open Face Chinese, Pot Limit Omaha, Big-O, 8-Game Mixed Championship, H.O.R.S.E., and 2-7 Triple Draw. Ladies’ and Seniors’ events are also on the schedule.
THMC Winner to be Awarded Cape Town Million Package
The Hendon Mob Championship returns for a sixth consecutive year, and after attracting 599 entries in 2024, THMC Dublin will play out over two days. The buy-in has increased to €350, with Day 1 beginning at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 15th. Players start with 30,000 chips, 30-minute levels, and a single reentry. Day 2 gets underway at noon on Wednesday, April 16th.
The Hendon Mob has partnered with Sunbet Poker Tour by MJPT to offer all 2025 THMC Main Event winners a package to the THMC Cape Town Million in South Africa later this year. Like Colin Horgan in 2024, the winner of THMC Dublin will receive a package for the THMC Cape Town Million in November 2025 in South Africa.
The Cape Town Million 2025 package is worth approximately $2,000. It includes seven nights of accommodation, transfers to the venue (flights not included), and a THMC Cape Town Million ticket worth R8,000. The full details of the promotion will be announced soon.
Live and Online Satellites Running Across the Globe
Event sponsors PokerStars and Paddy Power Poker, along with the whole iPoker Network, helped over 700 players win live and online satellites to the Irish Open in 2024. Even more chances are available in 2025. Many players have already won their seats and packages, but there are still tons of opportunities left.
