First Ever SiGMA Poker Tour Stop Begins in One Week

SiGMA is bringing premium networking opportunities and live poker action together as it’s set to launch the first event of the newly created SiGMA Poker Tour. The Monte Carlo Poker Club in São Paulo, Brazil, will host the poker festival, which begins on April 9th and runs through April 14th. The SiGMA Poker Tour Brazil features five events, including a $250,000 guaranteed Main Event and South America’s first The Hendon Mob Championship event.

The SiGMA Poker Tour was founded by Ivonne Montaleagre, founder of the Battle of Malta and Malta Poker Festival. Montaleagre has a proven track record of successfully launching new live poker projects. The tour is designed to connect gaming professionals from around the globe and bring the poker community closer to the iGaming industry.

Montealegre, SiGMA Poker Tour Operations Manager, said, “The SiGMA Poker Tour has SiGMA’s DNA all over it—seamlessly integrating with the conference, the electrifying Mixed Martial Arts event, and the vibrant off-the-felt experiences that make SiGMA truly unique. Bringing the inaugural The Hendon Mob LATAM Championship to Brazil and Latin America is a dream come true. We have worked alongside the incredible team at The Hendon Mob and GPI for nearly two decades, and each collaboration becomes even smoother and more impactful. This event marks another milestone in our shared commitment to elevating the global poker scene.”

The Hendon Mob LATAM Championship

The THM LATAM Championship, the first-ever THMC event in South America, is a two-day event with a $250 buy-in and begins on Saturday, April 12th, at 2 p.m. Players start with 25,000 chips and play 30-minute levels on both days. Re-entry is unlimited and available for the first 10 levels on Day 1. Day 2 will play down to a winner on Sunday.

“The entire Global Poker Index and The Hendon Mob team is thrilled to enter the Latin American market for the first time alongside the SiGMA Poker Tour. The Hendon Mob Championship (THMC) live events are a key tool in connecting the international poker community with up-and-coming live events and tours, and we expect this partnership to build on the success of previous collaborations with Ivonne Montealegre.” Roland Boothby, Head of Partnerships for GPITHM, said.

Boothby continued, “SiGMA is renowned for its world-class conferences and networking events, and I have complete confidence in the ability of the SiGMA Poker Tour to seamlessly connect these elements with the international poker scene, particularly in the rapidly growing Brazilian market. We couldn’t be more excited to get the cards in the air for the inaugural Hendon Mob Latam Championship in São Paulo!”

2025 THM LATAM Championship Winner to be Awarded Cape Town Million Package

The Hendon Mob has partnered with Sunbet Poker Tour by MJPT to offer all 2025 THMC winners a package to the THMC Cape Town Million later this year.

The Cape Town Million 2025 package is worth approximately $2,000. It includes seven nights of accommodation, transfers to the venue (flights not included), and a THMC Cape Town Million ticket worth R8,000.

$250,000 Guaranteed SiGMA Poker Tour Brazil Main Event

The $250,000 guaranteed SPT Brazil Main Event headlines the debut stop in Sao Paulo. The event carries a buy-in of $770 with several Main Event satellites available leading up to each flight, allowing players to win their seats for a fraction of the cost.

Players begin with 50,000 chips on each of the five available Day 1s and play 40-minute levels except for Day 1C and 1E, which are 20-minute turbo flights. Players may re-enter a maximum of two times per flight with late registration open for 10 levels.

Aside from the THMC and Main Event, SPT Brazil also features a SiGMA DIVAS $150 ladies event, a $330 Mystery Bounty event, and a $150 Last Chance. SPT brand ambassadors John Arne Riise, Lukas Robinson, Drea Karlsen, and JonVlogs will be on hand and in the fields. The schedule also includes a meet-and-greet with the team and several other networking opportunities.
