It's the start of yet another streak for Ole Schemion who will spend his second straight week at the top of the GPI World Poker Rankings … but the German superstar certainly has company near the top … After spending some time ranked outside the Top 20 earlier this season, former World #1 Dan Smith is back in contention, returning the 4,000-point club following a 4th place finish in the Aria High Roller IX event presented over the weekend. A runner-up finish in WSOP Event #2 – $,5000 No-Limit Holdem.
Bryn Kenney is the biggest mover inside the Top 10, moving back up to #6. Kenney has been ranked inside the GPI Top 10 for 24 consecutive weeks. While Dario Sammartino reaches the Top 10 for the very first time in his career, his countryman Mustapha Kanit drops out of the elite group this week. Both Sammartino and Kanit starred for Team Italy at the Global Poker Masters, brining Poker's World Cup home last March in Malta.
