EAPT Barcelona Main Event Kicks Off Tomorrow with €200,000 GTD

The decade-long history of EAPT, one of the most popular poker festivals for mid-stakes players, continues in Barcelona. EAPT made its first visit to the capital of Catalonia both to showcase itself and to observe the local poker enthusiasts. The series arrived at “Casino Barcelona” with a promise: over 10 game days, at least €485,000 in guaranteed prize money will be distributed in 18 cup tournaments and a guarantee of €200,000 for the Main Event.

EAPT Barcelona Trophies Collected Thus Far

The first owners of EAPT trophies have already been determined. Albert Grane Bosch won the Mystery Bounty, taking a significant portion of the solid guarantee of €40,000 – €11,320. Earlier, Sergi Tusell Prats had a significant achievement. After eliminating one of his rivals, Sergi approached the signature EAPT drum and, with a swift motion, drew €5,000 – his hunt for Mystery Bounty was a success!

The next key EAPT Barcelona tournament – the EAPT Cup – gathered an excellent pot of €55,940, confidently covering the declared guarantee of €40,000, with a buy-in of just €250. After two game days, Carlos Esquerdo emerged as the champion. His bankroll has increased by €11,100, and his trophy shelf now boasts the first EAPT Championship Cup.

In his first words after the victory, Carlos shared that he once worked as a restaurant manager, but at one point decided to leave everything and become a professional poker player. For his dream, Carlos swapped the hustle and bustle of big cities for the quiet spot of Menorca, and now he dedicates all his time to poker. “I am thrilled to be the champion of the EAPT Cup. I hope that after the conclusion of the main tournament, I’ll again be giving an interview to the EAPT correspondent,” Carlos said after the win.

EAPT Barcelona Main Event Begins Tomorrow

The incredible EAPT Barcelona continues at Casino Barcelona. The series is approaching its culmination – the €560 Main Event with a guaranteed prize pool of €200,000. Players are provided with four starting flights, after which all survivors will gather at the tables on Day 2 and play until the final table. We will know the name of the new EAPT Main Event champion this Sunday, October 8.

In addition to the primary guarantee, the top four players of the Main Event will receive tickets to the EAPT Grand Final. The package for the Grand Final participant will include a buy-in for the Main Event with a multimillion-dollar guarantee and accommodation in a luxurious five-star hotel during the event.
