Big Changes for Banco Casino Bratislava
The place for poker in Bratislava just got an upgrade. Banco Casino Bratislava is no longer a casino but an exclusive poker room. As of December 1st, the slot machines, roulette tables, and the rest of the casino games will be rolled out to make room for a sea of poker tables.
Banco Bratislava Poker Room will open as the largest poker venue in the City Centre of Europe. It will have more tables, promotions, and events and will be the home of various major poker festivals. The record-setting Polish Poker Series, The Festival, and the upcoming Spanish Poker Festival will all return, along with some new stops, soon to be announced.
The year will start with the Banco Casino Championship, featuring a €200,000 guarantee and a €200 buy-in. Then, the Winter Polish Poker Cup will return, boasting €300,000 guaranteed for just a €140 buy-in.
Marketing Manager for Banco Bratislava, Jan Packa, is optimistic and eager for the new change; “There will be big changes that I think will be great news for poker players. From 1.12. from Banco Casino to one of the largest poker houses in the center of the capital in Europe. We are planning a certain renovation at the beginning of the year, which will not affect the operation of the poker room. Among the positive changes, Banco will have more tables, more comfort, and an entirely non-smoking zone. We will finish the poker season of 2024 with Grand Final Spanish Poker Festival, which starts in two weeks. In 2025, we are also planning events that have not yet been held at Banco, so we see these changes as an opportunity to raise the poker level in Slovakia.”
Packa continued regarding plans for 2025: “I must admit that we have ambitious plans as always. At this moment, we have four stops confirmed in the Polish Poker Series. The Festival will also take place again, and the new event announced is the Norwegian Poker Championship / Norge—Masterskapet 2025.”
There will still be casino games nearby as Banco Bratislava has partnered with Monaco Casino. Former Banco Casino Bratislava employees have taken on roles at Monaco Casino, which is set to accept patrons with 100 slot machines and live table games.
