Daniel Negreanu Wins Super High Roller Bowl VII, Sean Winter Wins Poker Masters
Daniel Negreanu has won Super High Roller Bowl VII for his largest career victory, and second biggest career score. Negreanu defeated Nick Petrangelo heads-up to win the $3,312,000 first-place prize for his third 2022 PokerGO Tour (PGT)-qualifying win.
Negreanu’s win propels the Canadian to 21st on the PGT leaderboard. The season-ending PGT Championship will be held from December 21-22 at the PokerGO Studio with the top 21 players competing in the $500,000 winner-take-all freeroll. Player’s chip stacks will be determined by how many PGT points they finish the year on.

Sean Winter won the 2022 U.S. Poker Open title in March, and now he adds the 2022 Poker Masters Purple Jacket. Winter finished runner-up in Event #7: $25,000 No-Limit Hold’em and won Event #9: $25,000 No-Limit Hold’em for $432,000. Winter finished on 466 PGT points and faded final-day heroics from Erik Seidel and Seth Davies to hold on and claim his first Poker Masters Purple Jacket.

Winter’s two results at the 2022 Poker Masters solidified his spot in sixth place on the PGT leaderboard, but another big mover was Jason Koon. Koon cashed five times at Triton Mediterranean and followed that with two cashes and the Event #10: $50,000 No-Limit Hold’em victory for $666,000.
Nick Schulman and Erik Seidel finished third and fourth respectively on the Poker Masters leaderboard, and the PGT points they accrued helped to move them closer to the top 21. Both players are within reaching distance of securing a seat in the season-ending PGT Championship.
Stephen Chidwick and Phil Ivey Hold Top Spots on PGT Leaderboard
Having each held the top spot on the PGT leaderboard over the past few months, Stephen Chidwick is now back on top following the completion of the Poker Masters.
At Triton Mediterranean, both Chidwick and Ivey cashed two times each as Ivey surged ahead with his fourth-place finish in Event #12: $50,000 Short Deck. When Chidwick finished in 11th place in Event #2: $10,000 No-Limit Hold’em at the Poker Masters, he retook the lead over Ivey heading into October.
What’s Next on the PokerGO Tour?
The next series on the PokerGO Tour is the WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic festival that features 13 high roller tournaments and the $10,400 Main Event. WSOP Europe will then take center stage at King’s Resort in Rozvadov, Czech Republic, with three PGT-qualifying events of a €25,000 High Roller and €50,000 High Roller, along with the €10,350 WSOP Europe Main Event.
The action will return to Las Vegas, Nevada, in December with 13 ARIA High Rollers built around the WPT World Championship. Buy-ins in the ARIA High Rollers are $10,000, $15,000, and $25,000 as players will have the opportunity to accrue points to qualify for the season-ending PGT Championship.
