APPT Unveils 2014 Schedule
The Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) recently unveiled their 2014 schedule, marking their 8th season on the live tournament circuit.
This season brings big changes as the tour announced that PokerStars, who manages APPT events, have combined all Asia-Pacific events, presented by the poker giant, under one umbrella. This means that the APPT schedule will include Australia New Zealand Poker Tour (ANZPT) events as well as special PokerStars LIVE events presented in the APAC region, including the Macau Poker Cup, the Macau Millions and the Asia Championship of Poker (ACOP).
APPT President Danny McDonagh: “Having the entire Asia-Pacific poker calendar, news, and updates in one location is huge. The APPT website becomes much more user friendly and improving the player experience is something we look to enhance each season.”
Aussie Millions Joins the Family
As we reported last month, the 2014 Aussie Millions will also be presented in conjunction with the APPT. This is a ground-breaking move as the Aussie Millions was one of the last major series to be run independently, without the support of any tour on the live tournament circuit.

Linking one of the best tournaments in Asia Pacific with the region’s biggest poker tour benefits everyone. The Aussie Millions Main Event will take place at the famed Crown Casino in Melbourne from February 2nd to the 9th, 2014.
Prior to making its way to Melbourne, the APPT will kickoff its 8th season in Macau with the presentation of the Macau Poker Cup. The Red Dragon Main Event begins on January 16th, 2014.
