The Festival in Malta 2024 is the second edition of The Festival series to play out at the Portomaso Casino in Malta. The 2023 edition was won by Norway’s Oystein Brenden for €60,700. The Festival, which was launched by founder Martin “Franke” von Zweigbergk in 2021, has become famed around Europe for its convivial atmosphere, wide array of games on offer and its varied offerings off the felt activities. The Malta stop will be no different, with Franke and his team focused heavily on all their guests enjoying more than just their time at the tables.

As the series rolls into Tuesday, local players, online qualifiers and the wide array of international faces who frequent The Festival stops will have their eyes on the €500+€50 main event, which will play out over five starting flights, and climax on Sunday 15th September,  where the winner will be looking to lock up a prize pushing six figures. This was the case when Bulgaria’s Presiyan Tsevetanov took down The Festival in Rozvadov in June, besting 989 entrants.

Looking for another strong run will be Malta local favourite Antoine Degiorgio, who finished third in Rozvadov for €44,250. On home soil, Antoine will be looking to improve on that finish and take home some covered Festival silverware. We wish him well!
