Smart Poker Tour Returns to Platinum Casino for SPT 8 Sunny Beach

The eighth main tour stop of the Smart Poker Tour (SPT) brings a new festival back to Platinum Casino in Sunny Beach, Bulgaria. SPT 8 Sunny Beach runs from September 5-10, just a year after the last visit. There are five events on the schedule including a €1,000 High Roller and a €300 SPT Main Event featuring a €100,000 guaranteed prize pool.

The last time the Smart Poker Tour hosted a stop in Sunny Beach more than €250,000 was awarded. The Main Event attracted 385 entries and amassed a €173,250 prize pool. A three-way deal at the top saw Bulgarian Niko Iliev take the title and a top share of €29,850.

SPT 8 Sunny Beach €100,000 Guaranteed Main Event

Day 1A of the €100,000 guaranteed SPT 8 Sunny Beach Main Event kicks off on Wednesday, September 6th at 2 pm local time. Players have three more opportunities to qualify for Day 2 with Day 1B on Thursday and two starting flights on Friday. The buyin is €300 with starting stacks of 60k chips and 30-minute levels.

Players also have the option of buying in directly to Day 2 for €1,000 which comes with a 200k starting stack and 40-minute levels. Unlimited re-entry is permitted until the end of Level 15.

Mystery Bounties, High Rollers, & More

Following a Main Event satellite to get the festival rolling, Day 1 of the €225 Mystery Bounty kicks off at 8 pm on September 5th. Day 2 follows on September 6th at noon with €100 of every buyin going to the bounty pool. The €1,000 High Roller also takes place on September 6th with Day 1 beginning at 9 pm. Players start with 100k in chips and levels are 30 minutes. Both events have unlimited re-entry until the close of registration.

The final two events include a Second Chance and a Last Chance event. The €10,000 guaranteed Second Chance event begins a few hours after Day 2 of the Main Event resumes on Saturday, September 9th. The Last Chance event closes out the festival during the final day of play on Sunday, September 10th.
