The History of Powerfest

This Powerfest series has over 300 tournaments with options for micro, low, mid, and high stakes. Over the years, Powerfest has also expanded the MTT formats, bringing multiple Progressive Knockout (PKO) and Pot-Limit Omaha tournaments into the schedule.
When are the Powerfest Main Events?

Players can battle it out in the hyper-aggressive Powerfest #141 High Roller. For the lower-stakes online grinders, there is a $55 buy-in which holds a $250,000 guarantee in the same format. If you prefer even more all-ins and raises, you can get in the PLO streets with four-card versions of the same Powerfest Main Events.
Get into the Powerfest High Roller Main Through SPINS
As well as playing through online satellites running around the clock, partypoker has created the unique SPINS format for Powerfest, which can give online poker players a quick, easy, and cheap way to play in a $2,100 online high roller for just $10!
The SPINS run until the end of Powerfest on March 15, and for just $10, you could be battling against three other players in a Sit’n’Go tournament for a high roller seat.
How to Crush PKO MTTs
Playing PKO tournaments can be very confusing for new online poker players. You have to take into account the bounties in play with everything you do as well as the payouts and stack sizes on your table.
Here are some simple tips to consider when you play in the Powerfest Main Event and try to scoop as many bounties as possible.
- Widen your range when you have a bounty, as you have the added equity of the bounty in play to win.
- If you have the chance to raise over a bounty, make sure to isolate and disincentivize bigger stacks from seeing a flop.
- Smaller pocket pairs are far less valuable in EVs than high-card hands. For example, you would be jamming with ace-eight rather than pocket sevens.
- You will find bluffs will not work like normal, as everyone is chasing bounties.
- Work out the min-payout before you risk your stack for a bounty, as it could swing either way, depending on how much you could win.
